Birmingham-based Robins & Morton is making significant progress on constructing a new 12-story hotel tower at Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River in Murphy, N.C.
The company anticipates completing the second phase of the casino expansion project this winter.
Harrah’s unveiled a new 25,000-square-foot casino floor in May and a 10-table poker room.
The upcoming phase of the expansion includes 296 additional hotel rooms, an indoor pool, and a fitness center. It will also feature a 12,000-square-foot rooftop restaurant with a 12-seat bar and wine cellar.
Guests will also be able to enjoy a 9,600-square-foot spa, which will offer six treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, and a salon.
In late June, the construction company marked the topping out of the project’s 12-story hotel tower. The event was attended by leaders from Harrah’s Cherokee, dignitaries from the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians, and Robins & Morton executives.
“Robins & Morton has been the general contractor for the Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River Casino Resort expansion for the past 18 months, and it has been a true privilege,” said Robins & Morton Project Director Nick Dill.
“We have worked with the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the Tribal Casino Gaming Enterprise for many years, and this project is an extension of that partnership. We are honored to continue serving this community.”
