The search effort has faced significant challenges due to the extreme depth of the waters. Thus far, authorities have discovered only an oil slick and two empty life rafts near the vessel's last known location.
Crew Details and Status
The ill-fated ship was carrying a total of 24 crew members, including 20 Chinese nationals, three individuals from Myanmar, and one from Bangladesh. While two Chinese crew members were successfully rescued on Saturday following a distress call, 22 individuals remain missing.
