Airport Upgrades Underway
This expansion comes on the heels of several major infrastructure announcements from the Birmingham Airport Authority. As reported by 205focus.com, BHM is preparing for significant improvements, including a $19 million project to upgrade the facility's primary runway scheduled to begin next year.
In addition to runway work, the airport is focused on enhancing the customer experience on the ground, with plans to implement a new $43 million system designed to make finding parking spaces within the deck a much smoother process for travelers.
