According to Falcons head coach Kevin Stefanski, Penix will remain sidelined for the matchup against the Miami Dolphins. Instead, Tua Tagovailoa is slated to start, with Jack Strand and Cooper Rush expected to follow him into the rotation.
This upcoming game offers a significant chance for redemption for Tagovailoa. Following a difficult showing in his initial preseason appearance against the Denver Broncos—where he fumbled and finished with only 22 yards on three completions in a 27-7 defeat—Tua is looking to sharpen his performance before the regular season kicks off.
