Suspect in custody as woman killed in overnight Mobile shooting
Jakoby Fowler, 24, was arrested and transported to Mobile Metro Jail. County sheriff records indicate he is being held on a charge of murder.

A tragic shooting at the Hillcrest Estates apartment complex in Mobile claimed the life of a woman late Wednesday night, according to reporting by 205focus.com.
Investigation Underway
Mobile police officers were dispatched to the apartment complex located on Airport Boulevard at approximately 11:54 p.m. Wednesday. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a woman inside one of the units suffering from a fatal gunshot wound.
Suspect in Custody
Investigators identified the victim's boyfriend as the shooter at the scene. Jakoby Fowler, 24, has since been arrested and booked into the Mobile Metro Jail. County sheriff records confirm that Fowler is currently being held on a charge of murder.
Officials have not yet released the identity of the victim, stating that her name will be made public once the next of kin has been notified.
As this remains an active investigation, the Mobile Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward and contact the department.
