61-year-old man missing after falling off pontoon boat on north Alabama lake
About 3:21 p.m. Saturday, Lowell L. Hinton Jr., of Mississippi, fell overboard and did not resurface. He was not wearing a personal flotation device when the incident occurred.

A search operation is underway in north Alabama after a 61-year-old man went missing following a fall from a pontoon boat. According to reporting from 205focus.com, the incident occurred this past weekend on Pickwick Lake.
Incident Details
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) identified the missing man as Lowell L. Hinton Jr. of Corinth, Mississippi. Hinton was operating a 20-foot Tracker pontoon boat in the vicinity of Yellow Creek and State Line Island in Lauderdale County when the accident took place.
ALEA Capt. Jeremy Burkett stated that Hinton fell overboard at approximately 3:21 p.m. on Saturday and failed to resurface. Officials confirmed that Hinton was not wearing a personal flotation device at the time of the incident.
Search and Rescue Efforts
Emergency teams launched an extensive search effort immediately following the report. While search operations were paused at nightfall on Sunday, authorities confirmed that the search will resume Monday morning.
Multiple organizations are working in coordination to locate Hinton, including the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Department, the Mississippi Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Mississippi Hardin County Fire Department, and the Mississippi Hardin County Emergency Management Agency. ALEA is also providing support through their Aviation Unit and Marine Patrol Troopers.
