New shopping center planned for north Alabama city
New shops include a restaurant, coffee bar and home decor shop.
Big changes are coming to Rainbow City as construction kicks off this week on a brand-new retail development in Etowah County.
Meet Cobblestone Square
Located on West Grand Avenue right next to City Church, Cobblestone Square is set to become a local hub. Project developers have scheduled an official groundbreaking ceremony for Thursday afternoon to mark the start of the build. The project is being brought to life by Trent Thrasher Construction, utilizing designs crafted by architect Patricia E. Sherman.
New Businesses Coming Soon
According to 205focus.com, the development will feature three distinct tenants, offering a mix of dining and retail options for the community:
- Struts Famous Wings: Already established in Jacksonville and Oxford, this popular spot will bring its signature menu of wings, burgers, sandwiches, and salads to the area.
- The Coffee Bar: Known for its specialty drinks and coffee, the shop is expanding to Rainbow City after finding success at its downtown Gadsden location.
- Gracevines: Shoppers can look forward to a wide selection of gifts, garden essentials, seasonal florals, and home decor. This move allows the business to upgrade into a larger showroom with significantly more space.
