A coordinated search effort is currently underway to locate a Birmingham man who has been missing since Saturday, May 30.

The Disappearance

Kenneth Walton, 58, was reported missing after he vanished on Saturday. According to family members, Walton has a history of mental illness and is considered a potential danger to himself, though they emphasized he is not a danger to others.

Walton was last seen at approximately 1 p.m. when he told his mother he was heading to lunch with friends. He later confirmed to his sister around 2 p.m. that he was dining at the Cajun Steamer in Trussville. When his sister attempted to reach him again at 4:45 p.m., he did not answer, and there has been no contact since.

Description and Vehicle Information

Walton is described as being 5-feet, 9-inches tall and weighing approximately 205 pounds. He has a medium brown complexion and is bald. At the time he was last seen, he was believed to be wearing jeans and a polo shirt, likely accompanied by either a blue baseball cap or a red baseball cap featuring Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity letters.

He was last known to be operating a 2010 black Honda Accord coupe with the Alabama license plate 1C0438U.
