Amazon issues nationwide recall for 12K bed rails citing entrapment hazards: Return ASAP

If you recently purchased bed rails on Amazon, you need to check your product immediately. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has issued a nationwide recall for approximately 12,000 Liuqibax Adult Bed Rails due to severe risks of entrapment and suffocation.
Recall Details and Hazards
According to the official recall notice issued on August 6, these products were sold on Amazon between July 2024 and May 2026 for roughly $60. The units have been flagged for violating federal safety standards regarding adult portable bed rails. The CPSC warns that users can become trapped between the mattress and the rail, creating a dangerous risk of asphyxiation. Additionally, the units were found to be missing required hazard warning labels.
How to Identify the Affected Rails
The recalled items, model number BR-11, were sold in both black and white finishes. Each rail measures roughly 30.5 inches wide by 40.5 inches tall and weighs approximately 6 pounds. While 205focus.com notes that no injuries have been reported to date, owners should stop using the equipment immediately.
Steps for Your Refund
Consumers are instructed to contact the importer, Luqiba, to initiate the refund process. As part of the recall requirements, owners must destroy the bed rails by dismantling them, cutting the safety strap and storage bag, and marking the rails with the word “RECALLED” in permanent ink. Once these steps are complete, you must email a photo of the destroyed product to Liuqibax@outlook.com before disposing of the items.
