Costco shoppers who bought this $40 cooler need to check their purchase right now

If you recently picked up a new cooler from Costco, you need to pay close attention to this latest safety alert. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for approximately 2,500 Arctic Zone Titan Pro Coolers due to a potential choking hazard.

According to the recall notice, the magnet in the front latch of these coolers can detach. While California Innovations—the company behind the product—reports that no injuries have been documented so far, the risk of serious injury or death from the loose magnet prompted the safety action.

How to identify your cooler

These 40-can-capacity, iceless coolers were sold at Costco warehouses nationwide throughout March 2026 for approximately $40. They are collapsible, zipperless, and measure roughly 15 inches wide by 12 inches deep and 12 inches high when expanded. You can find them in black or brown, and each unit comes equipped with a built-in bottle opener, a hard-top lid, and a front insulated compartment containing a zippered pocket.

To confirm if your unit is affected, look for the text “Titan Pro by Arctic Zone” printed on the front. Additionally, check the label located inside the front zippered pocket for style number 10006348.

What you should do next

205focus.com urges all owners to stop using the affected coolers immediately. California Innovations is providing a free replacement latch to all impacted consumers, which includes step-by-step instructions for safely removing and swapping out the original part.

To secure your replacement, you can contact California Innovations by phone at 888-413-2665 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday. You may also submit a request via email to service@ca-innovations.com.
