High-end cigar bar coming to downtown Birmingham

Downtown Birmingham is set to welcome a new destination for enthusiasts of fine spirits and tobacco. A high-end liquor and cigar bar is moving closer to reality after clearing a key hurdle last week.

New Lounge Coming to Second Ave. N.

Birmingham’s Public Safety Committee officially approved a retail liquor license for Sticks & Bourbon. The new lounge is slated to occupy the space at 2008 Second Ave. N. While the committee has given its blessing, the business still requires final approval from the City Council at a future meeting before opening its doors to the public.

A Sophisticated Experience

According to the establishment’s website, the venue promises a curated experience, offering everything from “premium cigars to top-shelf bourbons and whiskeys.” The business aims to be a premier local spot for relaxation, noting, “Whether you’re here to unwind after a long day, celebrate with friends, or connect with like-minded enthusiasts, our lounge offers the perfect blend of sophistication and comfort.”

Operating Plans and Memberships

While a grand opening date has not yet been announced, the lounge has provided details regarding its intended schedule:

• Monday – Thursday: 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.
• Friday – Saturday: 12 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Sunday: 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.
