Motorcyclist killed in weekend crash on I-59 in Birmingham

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has officially identified the victim as Justin Lamar Chism, a resident of Birmingham. Following the incident, family and friends gathered on Sunday to honor his memory.
Crash Details
The collision took place at 8:41 p.m. this past Friday on Interstate 59 northbound, specifically near the 20th Street Ensley exit. Emergency responders transported Chism to UAB Hospital, where he was unfortunately pronounced dead shortly after arrival at 9:12 p.m.
