Titans head coach Robert Saleh offers updates on two former Alabama stars

Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh delivered a welcome update to fans this week, signaling that two key players are back in the mix. During his Thursday media availability, Saleh confirmed that Calvin Ridley has returned to the practice field after a short bout with an illness. Even more significant for the offensive front, offensive lineman JC Latham has been activated from the team’s Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list.
Latham's Path to Recovery
Latham’s path to the field hit a hurdle prior to training camp when he suffered a strained pec, sidelining him as camp opened. According to the 205focus.com reporting, however, the young lineman’s commitment to his rehabilitation has been unwavering.
"JC’s worked his tail off, man," Saleh noted. "I know he had a little setback at the end of OTAs with the pec, but give him credit, he stayed here the entire summer. He’s worked relentlessly to get that thing back to the strength he’s needing. He’s had a really, really good weight to allow him to have foot speed."
Looking Ahead
Entering his third NFL season following an impressive tenure at Alabama, Latham is a critical piece of a Titans offensive line tasked with protecting the franchise’s future, 2025 top overall draft pick and quarterback Cam Ward.
The Titans are slated to kick off their preseason schedule on August 13, when they travel to Santa Clara, CA, to take on the San Francisco 49ers.
