Titans receiver Calvin Ridley blames this popular restaurant for missing practice
Calvin Ridley and the Titans open preseason vs. the 49ers on Aug. 13.
We have all had that moment where a favorite meal simply doesn't sit right, but few of us have had to explain our dietary mishaps from the NFL practice field. Tennessee Titans receiver Calvin Ridley recently found himself in that exact predicament.
A Chipotle Mishap
After missing practice time earlier this week due to an illness, Ridley was back in action by Saturday and offered a candid explanation for his absence. As reported by Ridley himself, the culprit was a meal from Chipotle. The receiver noted that the aftermath hit him hard by nightfall, leading to a significant recovery process.
The physical toll was noticeable, with Ridley revealing he dropped 15 pounds while battling the illness. Fortunately, the former Crimson Tide star confirmed he has already regained the weight and is back to full strength.
Looking Ahead
Ridley was absent for the opening day of training camp on July 29, but first-year head coach Robert Saleh quickly assured the media that the wideout would be returning to the fold. While this wasn't Ridley's first time dealing with such an issue, he is now focused on the upcoming slate of games.
The Titans are set to open their preseason schedule on Aug. 13, traveling west to face the San Francisco 49ers. Stay tuned to 205focus.com for more updates as the team prepares for the new season.
