President Donald Trump proposed renaming Artificial Intelligence to 'Superior Intelligence' in a series of posts on X.

President Donald Trump has set his sights on a new rebranding target: artificial intelligence. Declaring the term 'AI' to be both 'inaccurate' and 'ineloquent,' the President utilized his platform on X to solicit public opinion on a more 'elegant' alternative for the technological revolution.

Trump initially offered three contenders: Superior Intelligence (SI), Extreme Intelligence (EI), and Supreme Intelligence (SI). However, by Sunday, 'Supreme Intelligence' was scrubbed from the ballot. The President cited its poor performance in the poll but also used the opportunity to vent frustrations regarding the U.S. Supreme Court. Trump recently expressed disappointment with the court—specifically his own nominees Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett—after the bench rejected his proposed mail ballot restrictions ahead of the midterm elections.

'“Supreme Intelligence,” probably because of its relationship to the Supreme Court, is losing badly to both “Superior” and “Extreme Intelligence,”' Trump posted. 'Therefore, we are going to take “Supreme Intelligence” OUT, deleting it as a qualifier, and let you vote for the Final Two.'

In the final head-to-head, 'Superior Intelligence' emerged victorious with 52% of the vote, narrowly defeating 'Extreme Intelligence,' which secured 48%. This linguistic pivot follows other high-profile rebranding efforts from Trump’s second term, such as his moves to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the 'Gulf of America' and Lake Ontario to 'Lake America.'

The initiative has drawn fire from across the political spectrum. MAGA influencer Matt Walsh questioned the President's priorities, arguing that 'Artificial' is already the correct descriptor while labeling 'Extreme Intelligence' as nonsensical and 'Superior Intelligence' as 'anti-human and dystopian.' Trump critic John Collins expressed sheer bewilderment, asking, 'What the f--- are we even doing?' while progressive consultant Lauren Windsor dismissed the posts as 'incoherent ramblings.'

Biologist Jean-François Gariépy simply labeled the effort 'pretty dumb.' Meanwhile, some observers suggested the President missed a more obvious patriotic branding opportunity, with one critic noting that 'American Intelligence' was a glaring omission and claiming the President has 'lost his fastball.'
