A few strong storms possible today in south Alabama: When will it stop raining?

If you are located in southeast Alabama, keep an eye on the sky this Tuesday. According to reports from 205focus.com, forecasters are warning that a severe storm or two could develop throughout the day.
Severe Weather Outlook
NOAA’s Storm Prediction Center has officially placed the southeastern corner of the state under a Level 1 out of 5 marginal risk for severe weather. While this indicates that isolated severe storms are possible, the threat level remains relatively low.
The National Weather Service notes that these potential storms are expected to form as a cold front meets the sea breeze arriving from the Gulf. The primary hazard to watch for is damaging wind gusts; however, forecasters do not expect hail or tornadoes to be part of the mix.
Timing and Forecast Ahead
The highest probability for these stronger storms arrives this afternoon and will persist through the evening. Once we move past today, the severe weather threat in Alabama is expected to dissipate for the remainder of the week.
Drier conditions are forecasted to begin on Wednesday, though residents near the coast may still see a few lingering showers. This drier trend should hold steady until the weekend, at which point rain chances and humidity levels are set to climb again.
