A tragic industrial accident in Chilton County has left a 23-year-old man dead. Authorities confirmed that the incident occurred late Wednesday afternoon at the Bridge Builders of Alabama facility.
Investigation into the Incident
Chilton County Sheriff John Shearon reported that deputies arrived on the scene to find that the victim had been struck by heavy machinery. Despite the rapid response of emergency personnel, the worker was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials are currently withholding the identity of the victim. Bridge Builders of Alabama, a general contracting company headquartered in Pelham, is known for its work in excavation, deep foundations, bridge removal, and bridge construction projects across the state.
