The race for state titles is heating up as Mars Hill looks to put the finishing touches on their AHSAA state championship run today at Jacksonville State. After a commanding 4-0 victory in Game 1, the Panthers sit just one win away from clinching the Class 2A crown.
Ariton, the current Purple Cats, remains resilient and will fight to extend the series by forcing a decisive third game. The best-of-3 set continues bright and early at 10 a.m. at Jim Case Stadium.

The championship excitement isn't limited to Class 2A today. Fans can head over to Oxford as the Class 3A and 4A series officially get underway.
