Alabama law enforcement wrangles escaped 1,500-pound bull
Alabama deputies and officers corralled a loose 1,500-pound bull near Pickens Academy after a chase along Highway 17.

It was anything but a routine patrol for local law enforcement on Friday afternoon. Deputies from the Pickens County Sheriff’s Office joined forces with the Carrollton Police Department to tackle a high-stakes, 1,500-pound problem near Pickens Academy.
A High-Speed Rodeo on Highway 17
The massive bull kept officers on their toes, leading them on a high-intensity chase across Highway 17. The incident was documented in a Facebook post from the PCSO, which detailed the unconventional afternoon.
Despite a few slips and falls during the pursuit, the situation concluded safely. Authorities confirmed that neither the bull nor the responding officers sustained any injuries during the capture.

Once the bull was secured, both departments successfully resumed their standard duties. However, the officers couldn't help but joke about their temporary transition into livestock wranglers.
“We all learned one thing today: we’re probably better off patrolling the county than trying to make a living on the rodeo circuit,” the PCSO stated in their post. “We’ll hang our cowboy hats and boots back on the wall at least until the next bull decides to go sightseeing.”
