Birmingham-based urgent care giant names new president
The company is the nation’s leading urgent care provider with more than 400 walk-in clinics across the U.S.
A major player in the healthcare sector has announced a new leader at the helm. American Family Care, the Birmingham-based healthcare giant recognized as America’s leading urgent care provider, has officially named Rhett Lankford as its new president.
Driving Growth and Innovation
As the company continues to solidify its footprint across the nation, the scale of its operations remains impressive. American Family Care currently oversees more than 400 walk-in clinics throughout the United States, generating over $1 billion in annual system-wide sales while serving more than 4 million patients each year.
Lankford steps into this role with over two decades of professional experience, including key leadership positions held at NAPA Managed Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
A New Vision for AFC
Lankford will report directly to CEO Jeremy Morgan, who emphasized that the new president's background will be vital for the company's future. According to Morgan, Lankford’s expertise will be instrumental in building the next generation of support services for their extensive franchise network.
"Rhett will help us develop the tools, systems and capabilities our franchise owners need to grow patient volume, operate more efficiently, and deliver an even better care experience in their local communities," Morgan said.
For his part, Lankford sees the position as a chance to shape the evolving landscape of modern medicine. "Patients increasingly expect care that is easy to access, connected and responsive to their needs, and AFC is uniquely positioned to meet them where they are," Lankford stated. He added, "I am excited to help expand the capabilities that support our franchise owners, strengthen local clinic operations and help more patients get the care they need in their own communities."
