Popular farm supply and home decor store opens seventh Alabama location
The company has grown to more than 150 stores in seventeen states.
Rural King is bolstering its Alabama presence with a brand-new storefront in Prattville, marking the family-owned retailer's seventh location in the state. The store, located at 742 E. Main St., is ready to serve the community with modern amenities, including mobile and self-checkout options.
Grand Opening Festivities
Shoppers can head to the new location this weekend, Friday through Sunday, for a grand opening celebration featuring specials storewide. Customers who sign up for RK Rewards while on-site will be automatically entered for a chance to win one of four $500 Rural King gift cards.
A Wide Array of Goods
The retailer offers an extensive inventory, ranging from livestock and pet supplies to automotive parts, power tools, outdoor patio decor, and sporting goods. The Prattville location also features a robust selection of name-brand products from the likes of Carhartt, Blackstone, Ariat, Wrangler, Black Rifle Coffee Co., Walnut Creek Foods, and Henry Rifles.
Building on Momentum
Michael Ladd, COO of the company, noted that Alabama communities have long embraced the rural lifestyle, making Prattville a natural fit for expansion. Founded in 1960 in Mattoon, Illinois, the company has grown to over 150 locations across 17 states.
This expansion continues a steady growth trend for the retailer in Alabama. Last year, the chain confirmed a new location for Gadsden, following successful 2025 openings in Saraland and Jasper.
