‘Full House’ star shares final picture with Bob Saget in emotional post: ‘I miss you and love you’
The actor posted on Instagram.
John Stamos recently shared a heartfelt tribute to his late Full House co-star Bob Saget on what would have been the comedian's 70th birthday. Stamos, who portrayed Uncle Jesse alongside Saget’s Danny Tanner, took to Instagram on Sunday to honor his longtime friend with an emotional message and a collection of memories.
A Lasting Friendship
Reflecting on their bond, Stamos wrote, "We used to throw each other great birthday parties. Your 70th today would’ve been epic! I miss you and love you." The post featured a variety of photos and videos documenting the duo's history together.
Among the images was a poignant final picture showing Saget and his wife, Kelly Rizzo, alongside Stamos and his wife, Caitlin McHugh, on a beach. That snapshot stands as the final photograph of the two actors together before Saget passed away in 2022 at the age of 65.
Legacy of Full House
The iconic sitcom Full House first aired on ABC in 1987 and enjoyed a successful eight-season run through 1995. The connection between the cast extended far beyond the soundstage, as evidenced by the eulogy Stamos delivered at Saget’s 2022 memorial service.
In a moving speech shared via EW, Stamos recounted how Saget became his "rock" during difficult times. "When we started Full House, I was in my 20s and didn’t have a care in the world," Stamos recalled. "But life does what it does, and when things came crashing down, the last person on Earth I ever imagined would be my rock became just that."
Stamos added that Saget was a constant source of support through life's hardships, from the loss of parents to divorces and dark days, proving that his impact on those around him was as significant as his presence on screen, according to 205focus.com.
