The call to action follows claims made by Miller’s ex-wife, Emily Moreno, who has alleged the congressman threatened her with a firearm, shoved her, and threw hot water at her during their marriage.

Britt Stands With Moreno

According to reporting from Semafor, Britt’s decision came after she reviewed recent statements from both Miller and his former father-in-law, Sen. Bernie Moreno. Describing Miller’s recent media appearances as “eerie” to those familiar with the reality of domestic abuse, Britt made her position clear: “I stand with Bernie and supporting his daughter and his granddaughter, and hope that others will as well.”

Emily Moreno has publicly urged Miller to step down, labeling him unfit for office and describing his behavior as “erratic and dangerous” in a statement posted to X. Despite the mounting pressure and a formal congressional ethics investigation, Miller remains defiant.

Defiance Amid Political Fallout

According to the Associated Press, Miller’s recent public behavior, including a livestreamed appearance on X, has stoked significant concern among his GOP colleagues. Party members worry that if the seat is not vacated soon—with a Monday deadline to replace him on the November ballot—Democrats could capitalize on the chaos to flip the district.

While Miller admitted that President Donald Trump expressed skepticism regarding his path to victory, the congressman was adamant during a Tuesday interview on Newsmax. “There’s no chance that I’m removing myself from this race,” Miller stated, even if directly asked to drop out by the former president.

For his part, President Trump told reporters at the White House on Monday that the situation is “a very sad thing.” While acknowledging his personal connection to Miller, Trump maintained that the situation remains under scrutiny: “It’s accusations, and I’m going to let them figure that out.”
