MAGA influencer accuses Trump of deceiving supporters on major issue: ‘He is doing nothing’

MAGA influencer and podcaster Tim Pool is sounding the alarm, accusing President Donald Trump of saying one thing and doing another regarding the SAVE America Act.
The Conflict over SAVE America
In a tweet posted Monday, Pool argued that the President is merely putting on a performance. “Trump is pretending like he wants SAVE passed but is taking no political action against those that are obstructing him,” Pool stated.
The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act—commonly known as the SAVE America Act—has remained a top priority for the administration. The bill seeks to mandate that voters provide a Real ID, a U.S. passport, or valid state identification along with proof of citizenship like a birth certificate. The President has been so firm on the issue that he famously refused to sign a bipartisan housing bill due to the lack of progress on the elections legislation.
Pool: Trump’s Actions Don't Match Rhetoric
Pool points to a specific disparity in how the administration handles internal opposition. He suggests that if the President were truly serious about passing the security bill, he would be turning the heat up on Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., for stalling the legislation in the Senate.
“Trump did everything to get Massie removed,” Pool noted, referencing the primary defeat of Congressman Thomas Massie in May. “He is doing nothing about Thune. I have been personally told the admin is mad at me for saying this over and over.”
The Legislative Reality
According to the Associated Press, the SAVE America Act has already cleared the House. However, it currently faces an uphill battle in the Senate, where it lacks the 60 votes required to bypass the chamber's threshold for passage.
Despite these hurdles, the issue remains a cornerstone of the President's public agenda. During a primetime address on Thursday, the President pushed for the legislation while reiterating his claims regarding the 2020 election results.
