A man was arrested in Mobile Thursday night after allegedly impersonating an officer.
According to the Mobile Police Department, officers responded to a disorderly conduct call at the Chef King restaurant.
After arriving at the scene, the officers say they encountered Kenneth Salters who allegedly claimed to be a Mobile County Sherif’s Office deputy.
According to MPD, Salters revealed that he had a verbal altercation with another man prior to the police arriving and tried to “detain” him. Salters was not successful in this attempt and after investigating further, the department said they determined Salters was not a MCSO deputy.
