Man shot to death in Hueytown; shooter stays on scene to talk to police

A man was shot to death in Hueytown on Wednesday afternoon, according to Police Chief Mike Yarbrough.
The shooting happened around 12:17 p.m. in the 1700 block of 28th Avenue.
Officers found the man suffering life threatening wounds. Firefighters were not able to save him and he was pronounced dead on the scene.
“The shooter and all witnesses stayed on scene and are cooperating with investigators,” Yarbrough said.
