New Five Points South restaurant to open July 31

Five Points South is getting a fresh culinary destination this summer. Karma’s Kitchen, a new 24-hour diner, is officially set to celebrate its grand opening on July 31.

A New Staple for Five Points

The project is spearheaded by Dan Williams, the owner of the local favorite Dave’s Pub. Karma’s Kitchen is situated at 1210 20th St. South, nestled between Ocean Restaurant and Dobber’s Five Points Pub. The space is a familiar one to locals, as the diner takes over the former site of 5 Point Public House & Oyster Bar.

Williams first announced the venture on May 28, noting that he wanted to prioritize affordability for the community, candidly stating that the menu was designed with the reality that "this economy sucks" in mind.

What to Expect

Operating around the clock, seven days a week, Karma’s Kitchen plans to serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner to satisfy cravings at any hour. The menu features classic comfort staples including burgers, patty melts, nachos, quesadillas, and chicken fingers.

For those looking for a midday meal, the diner will offer meat-and-two lunch plates daily between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Patrons should note that the establishment will not sell alcohol.

While the July 31 grand opening is locked in, 205focus.com will keep you updated as the restaurant plans to announce its specific opening hours for the big day sometime next week.
