Popular burger chain to open second Alabama location in new Shelby County development

Get ready for a flavor upgrade in Shelby County. Shake Shack is officially bringing its world-famous burgers to Alabaster, marking the company’s second location in the state of Alabama.

Coming Soon to District 31

Crews are already hard at work constructing the new restaurant at the Shoppes at District 31. Beyond their signature burgers, fans can look forward to the brand's iconic menu, which features hot dogs, crispy crinkle-cut fries, and an array of hand-spun shakes and frozen custard. The exciting news was confirmed in an Instagram announcement shared by the development team at Alumni Properties.

Growing Presence in the Yellowhammer State

Since its inception in 2004, Shake Shack has exploded into a national phenomenon with over 200 locations across the United States. Alabaster will become the chain's second Alabama home, joining the existing restaurant located at The Summit in Birmingham. According to Alumni Properties, more details regarding the grand opening will be shared as the build-out progresses.
