Updated Sun Belt baseball tournament schedule after Friday’s lengthy rain delay

Persistent rain on Friday forced a logistical shift for the Sun Belt baseball tournament, splitting the remaining action across two different venues as teams push toward the finish line.

Action was limited on Friday due to the weather. At Montgomery’s Dabos Park, Southern Miss secured a gritty 7-6 comeback win against Troy. Meanwhile, the tournament's other half transitioned to Riddle-Pace Field in Troy, where Louisiana managed to eliminate the second-seeded Coastal Carolina.

Saturday's Tournament Slate

The tournament continues Saturday with play at both locations. Dabos Park will host an elimination matchup between South Alabama and Troy at 9 a.m., with the winner moving on to face Southern Miss at 12:30 p.m.

Over at Riddle-Pace Field, Louisiana takes on Texas State at 10 a.m. Should Louisiana emerge victorious, the two programs will face off again in an additional game at 1:30 p.m.

If South Alabama or Southern Miss defeats Troy on Saturday, those teams are set to play once more at 9 a.m. Sunday at Dabos Park. Conference regulations prevent teams from playing three times in a single day, setting up a 1 p.m. championship finale.
