One person was killed when an SUV crashed into a Birmingham funeral home.
The incident occurred at 3:15 p.m. Friday at Eastside Funeral Home Ensley, located at 1900 Avenue I.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service Battalion Chief Clay Hendon reported that crews responded to the scene after receiving a report of a motor vehicle accident involving a fire and a trapped individual.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released. Hendon confirmed that no one else was injured.
