Alabama country star to co-host CMA Fest concert special
The three-hour special will air in late June.
Alabama is making a massive splash on the national country music stage as Jacksonville’s own Riley Green gears up to co-host the highly anticipated CMA Fest concert special.
A Nashville Spotlight
The Country Music Association and ABC confirmed that Green will team up with "Good Morning America" host Lara Spencer to lead the broadcast. The CMA Fest presented by SoFi is scheduled for June 4-7 in Nashville, featuring an impressive Alabama presence. Along with Green taking the stage to perform, the lineup includes fellow Alabama talents Ella Langley, Hannah McFarland, and the Red Clay Strays.
Watch the Special
Fans can catch all the action when the performances are compiled into a three-hour special airing on ABC at 7 p.m. Central on Thursday, June 25. For those who miss the broadcast, the concert will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
A Busy Season for Green
Hosting duties are just the beginning of a packed schedule for the Alabama star. Green has already been featured in the CBS "Yellowstone" spin-off "Marshals," and he is set to make his mark on reality television this fall. 205focus.com readers can look forward to seeing Green join Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah, and Adam Levine as a coach on "The Voice."
Regarding his upcoming role as a coach, Green recently told E! News that while Clarkson is already engaging in some lighthearted "trash talk," he is looking forward to developing chemistry with his fellow coaches once filming officially begins. "I love that we’re gonna all kind of meet each other and build that rapport in real time when we’re doing the show," Green noted. "It’ll be real when we start filming."
