No. 8 Alabama is preparing to bolster its roster ahead of Saturday’s matchup against South Carolina, as head coach Kalen DeBoer shared a mostly optimistic injury report following the team's victory over Florida State. While the Crimson Tide will be missing one defender for the long haul, several key offensive weapons are trending toward a return to action at Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Reserve linebacker Cayden Jones is the lone recipient of major bad news, with DeBoer confirming he is out for the remainder of the season. However, the news improved significantly regarding the Tide's backfield. Running backs EJ Crowell and Daniel Hill, who both exited the Florida State game early, appear to be on track to play. DeBoer noted that the staff anticipates Crowell "will be good to go by the weekend" and expressed similar expectations for Hill.

Alabama fans may also finally see the season debuts of receiver Noah Rogers and running back AK Dear. Both players have been sidelined by injuries so far this year, but DeBoer announced that both will be available this week. The coach emphasized their steady progression in practice and the importance of them feeling comfortable with their reps before executing at a high level.

"I have no doubt these guys can come in and help us," DeBoer said, acknowledging the players who have stepped up in their absence. "We’re excited to have them back. I feel like they’re getting more and more confident."

The No. 8 Crimson Tide will host South Carolina this Saturday at 6 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
