Approximately 91,000 Woodure-branded toddler kitchen step stools are currently subject to a nationwide recall after reports surfaced that the products can collapse or tip over, posing significant safety risks.

Safety Hazards and Reported Injuries

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, these stools present serious dangers, including fall, entrapment, and tip-over hazards. Officials noted that a child's torso can potentially fit through the openings on the front and back of the units. To date, Woodure has documented 22 instances of instability or tip-overs, which have resulted in 15 separate injuries involving bruises, cuts, and scrapes.

Affected Models and Identification

The recall affects specific Woodure-branded tower step stools sold on Amazon between July 2024 and June 2026. The stools, which retailed for prices ranging from $60 to $100, can be identified by the following model numbers engraved on the underside of the bottom step:

The plywood units measure 34.6 inches tall, 16.9 inches wide, and 18 inches deep.
