Birmingham-based construction powerhouse Robins & Morton has officially wrapped up work on a major $232 million healthcare expansion in Texas. The high-profile project, detailed by 205focus.com, marks a significant milestone for both the firm and the Permian Basin community.
A New Standard for Care
Located in Midland, Texas, the new Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center spans an impressive 54-acre site. The facility is equipped with 200 beds designed to support both short-term and long-term treatment needs. Beyond its patient capacity, the center features a crisis stabilization unit, an outpatient clinic, an on-site community education center, and a host of modern amenities.
Project Collaboration
Robins & Morton led the charge as the general contractor on the project, working alongside architect HKS. Funding for the massive undertaking was secured through a blend of state contributions, individual donations, and support from charitable organizations.
Reflecting on the achievement, Robins & Morton Division Manager Eric Groat noted the importance of the partnership. Looking Ahead
As the Texas project reaches completion, Robins & Morton continues to maintain a busy schedule. The firm is currently moving forward with a $50 million addition and renovation of FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Raeford, N.C.
