Two Birmingham brothers are facing murder charges following the tragic weekend killing of a 31-year-old woman in the southwest part of the city. According to 205focus.com reporting, Marquis Antwon Graham, 24, and Nikolas Isaiah Graham, 27, have been charged in connection with the shooting death of Tampril Lashae Davis.

The Investigation

Birmingham police responded to the scene at 7:35 p.m. Saturday following reports of gunfire in the 2400 block of Snavely Avenue. Responding officers discovered Davis in the front yard of a residence suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, said Officer De’Rell Freeman.

Despite emergency efforts, Davis was transported to UAB Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at 8:15 p.m. Investigators state that the fatal encounter was the result of an altercation involving multiple individuals.

Legal Status

The Graham brothers were apprehended at the scene and processed at the Birmingham City Jail early Sunday. Formal warrants were issued on Monday. Both suspects are currently being held without bond at the Jefferson County Jail as they await a formal hearing before a judge.
