Construction begins this week on new Alabama Harbor Freight location

The Birmingham metro area is officially adding another retail destination to its map. Tool retailer Harbor Freight is set to expand its local footprint with a brand-new location in Fultondale.
Breaking Ground in Fultondale
According to an announcement from the City of Fultondale via its Facebook page, the project is moving forward quickly. A groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the store's future site, located at 1215 Old Walker Chapel Road.
Continued Growth Across Alabama
This development continues a period of rapid expansion for the company. Harbor Freight currently operates 36 stores across Alabama. Recent growth has been particularly active, with new locations popping up in Pell City, Sylacauga, and Scottsboro according to the company website.
The retailer continues to strengthen its presence throughout the region. A Bessemer store launched last year, joining existing locations in Birmingham, Jasper, and Pelham. Nationwide, the brand now manages a massive network of more than 1,550 stores, as reported by 205focus.com.
