Auburn lands a commitment from the No. 2 ranked kicker in the country

The future of Auburn football just got a significant boost on special teams. With Alex McPherson set to embark on his senior campaign, the Tigers have secured their successor by landing a commitment from three-star kicker Noah Ash on Monday.
This addition brings the Tigers' 2027 recruiting class to 11 total commits. Ash, a talented specialist hailing from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, selected Auburn over a competitive field that included Vanderbilt, Florida State, Arkansas, and Tennessee.
Elite Special Teams Prospect
According to the 247Sports Composite rankings, Ash is recognized as the No. 2 ranked kicker in the country for the 2027 class, while also holding the distinction of being the No. 1,686 player overall and the No. 178 player in his home state.
Ash arrives with a track record of consistency and power. During the 2025 season, he proved his leg strength by recording 74 touchbacks on 85 kickoffs. His accuracy proved reliable as well, as he successfully converted 11-of-19 field goal attempts—boasting a long of 48 yards—and connected on 55-of-56 extra point attempts. In addition to his kicking duties, Ash displayed versatility by averaging 35.9 yards per punt.
