Country music star Jake Worthington is stepping away from the spotlight. The singer-songwriter announced on Friday that he is pressing pause on his career to prioritize his personal well-being.

Worthington, who first gained national recognition as the runner-up on Season 6 of The Voice in 2014, shared the news via social media. Reflecting on the toll of the touring lifestyle, he expressed a deep commitment to his family and his future.
"I live a life as my heroes did, but that life gotten ahold of me. I love my family, my friends and my fans too much to let it take over me," Worthington posted on Instagram. "I need to take some time to work on myself for my wife and daughter."
