Man jumps to death from downtown Birmingham parking deck

A tragic scene unfolded in downtown Birmingham on Sunday, as authorities confirmed a man has died after jumping from a city parking deck.
Emergency Response
Birmingham police and fire rescue units were called to the scene at 11:15 a.m. The incident took place at the 10-story parking facility located on Richard Arrington Jr. Boulevard at Third Avenue South in the midtown area.
According to reports, a 911 caller alerted officials that a man had jumped from the top level of the structure. Upon arrival, first responders pronounced the man dead at the scene.
