Trump border czar blames ‘pathetic’ Democrats’ ICE attacks for ruining his grocery runs

Border czar Tom Homan took to the White House podium on Monday to lash out at the current climate surrounding federal immigration enforcement. Addressing the media, Homan labeled the rhetoric directed at ICE agents by Democrats and other opponents as both "pathetic and disgusting."

Homan, who has been leading immigration crackdowns following the late January deaths of two U.S. citizens at the hands of federal agents, expressed frustration over the personal toll of his role. He argued that critics are dehumanizing personnel by drawing comparisons between agency staff and Nazis.

"Guys, ICE agents are moms and dads, too. They don’t hang your heart on a hook every day to do this job," an irate Homan told reporters. "And it’s not just attacking the ICE agents, it’s an attack on their spouses and children, and no one knows that better than me."

The border czar claimed the intensity of the opposition has forced him to alter his daily routine. "I can’t even go get a quarter of milk at a grocery store without a security detail. Why?" Homan asked. "Because I’m enforcing the laws in this country."
