1 killed, 1 wounded in overnight Montgomery shooting
Police were dispatched at 11:41 p.m. Wednesday to a report of a person shot in the 3400 block of Texas Street. They arrived to find McNeal dead on the scene.

Montgomery police are investigating an overnight shooting that resulted in the death of a 40-year-old local resident. The incident, which occurred late Wednesday night, marks the 21st homicide reported in the city so far this year.
Incident Details
Authorities were dispatched to the 3400 block of Texas Street at 11:41 p.m. Wednesday following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, first responders discovered Eldrick McNeal, a Montgomery man, dead at the scene.
According to Lt. Tina McGriff, a second man was located at the scene suffering from life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment. At this time, police have not released further details regarding the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
