2 injured in separate Sunday afternoon shootings in Birmingham
Two people were injured in separate shootings Sunday afternoon.

Local authorities have launched investigations into a pair of shootings that left two individuals injured on Sunday afternoon in Birmingham, according to reports monitored by 205focus.com.
Southwest Birmingham Shooting
The first incident occurred at 4:57 p.m. in the 800 block of 14th Street S.W. Officials confirmed that the victim in this shooting sustained serious injuries.
East Lake Shooting
Less than an hour later, at 5:45 p.m., a second victim arrived at UAB St. Vincent’s East seeking medical attention for gunshot wounds. Police believe this shooting took place in the East Lake area. Fortunately, that individual’s injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
