5 Auburn football recruiting targets to watch this summer

The dust has settled from Auburn's recent Big Cat Weekend, signaling the start of a critical summer on the recruiting trail. As head coach Alex Golesh steers his staff through their first full cycle, the intensity is ramping up ahead of the June 22 dead period.

While the Tigers are playing catch-up in some areas, the upcoming window of official visits is set to be a turning point. Here are five key targets to keep on your radar as the recruitment landscape evolves.

Aparicio-Bailey (Safety)

The Prattville High standout has become a familiar face on the Plains. Following his appearance at Big Cat Weekend, Aparicio-Bailey confirmed that the event helped Auburn move up his list. With a pivotal official visit slated for June 12, the Tigers face stiff competition from Georgia and Clemson for the versatile four-star defender.

Josh Dobson (Cornerback)

As one of the nation's premier five-star prospects, Dobson is a major priority. After enjoying his spring practice visit, the North Carolina native left with positive impressions. All eyes will be on his upcoming official visit to Auburn on May 29 as he weighs options including Texas A&M, Michigan, and South Carolina.

Antonio May (Defensive Lineman)

Keeping elite talent in-state remains a priority, and Ramsay High’s Antonio May is high on that list. May has already outlined an Aug. 11 commitment date. Before making his final call, he is scheduled to visit Auburn on June 12, though he also holds official visits with Florida State, Georgia, and Ohio State.

Culpepper (Linebacker)

The LaGrange, Georgia, native is a frequent visitor who thoroughly enjoyed his recent stop for Big Cat Weekend, sharing that he had a great experience. With an official visit on the books for June 19, Auburn is looking to bolster its linebacker depth against interest from programs like LSU, Virginia Tech, and Ole Miss.

Brown (Offensive Lineman)

Brown’s recruitment is moving at a breakneck speed, with a final decision between Auburn and Kentucky expected this coming Monday. The 6-foot-6, 290-pound Brentwood Academy prospect would be a high-upside addition to an offensive line class that already includes recent pledges Jaylon Moore and Layton Von Brandt.
