United Football League names its Most Valuable Player for the 2026 season

The United Football League has officially crowned its 2026 Most Valuable Player, with Orlando Storm quarterback Jack Plummer taking home the prestigious honor following a dominant regular season.

A Record-Setting Campaign

Plummer was the engine behind the Storm’s league-best 8-2 regular-season record. His statistical output was impressive, as he topped the UFL in passing yards. Across 10 appearances, he completed 195-of-300 passes for 2,188 yards, accounting for 17 touchdowns against only one interception.

United Bowl Approaches

Despite Plummer’s stellar play, his season concluded in the semifinals when the DC Defenders eliminated Orlando with a 28-22 victory. The Defenders are now set to square off against the Louisville Kings in the United Bowl this Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. The championship clash will be hosted at Audi Field in Washington and broadcast on ABC.

Louisville punched its ticket to the finale by knocking off the St. Louis Battlehawks 29-20 in their respective semifinal matchup.

Award Season Honors

While Plummer claimed the MVP title, other finalists will be featured on the championship stage. Louisville edge rusher Cam Gill—who was also named the UFL Defensive Player of the Year—and DC edge rusher Derick Roberson are both set to play for the trophy. DC quarterback Jordan Ta’amu, another MVP finalist, will miss the final due to a season-ending injury suffered in the eighth week of play.

Additional honors were handed out on Friday, including the UFL Sportsman of the Year award, which was presented to DC wide receiver Cornell Powell. Birmingham Stallions safety Alex Cook earned recognition as one of the eight finalists for that sportsmanship award.
