Incident Details
The crash occurred on Thursday, April 30, at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Alabama 79, situated about two miles south of Locus Fork. Trooper Sgt. Reginal King reported that Moro was operating a Ford Explorer when his vehicle was struck by a Nissan Frontier, driven by 32-year-old Mauricio R. Hernandez of Pinson. Following the impact, Moro’s vehicle veered off the roadway and overturned.
Aftermath and Investigation
Moro was airlifted to UAB Hospital for emergency treatment following the wreck. He ultimately succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, May 14, two weeks after the incident.
