Alabama basketball learns opponent for ACC, SEC challenge

The Alabama men's basketball team is headed to the 305 this season. The Crimson Tide are set for a high-profile road trip to face Miami as part of the ACC-SEC Challenge, according to a report from CBS Sports' Jon Rothstein.

A Challenging Non-Conference Slate

This showdown is just one piece of an ambitious non-conference schedule for Alabama. Other notable matchups in the ACC-SEC Challenge include Arkansas at North Carolina, Auburn at Clemson, Duke at Florida, Texas at Louisville, and Kentucky at Virginia.

The Crimson Tide are no strangers to this inter-conference event. Last season, Alabama hosted Clemson and secured a 90-84 victory on Dec. 3. The previous year, the Tide traveled to face North Carolina, walking away with a 94-79 win against the Tar Heels.

Beyond the ACC-SEC challenge, Alabama's non-conference docket remains packed with elite talent. The team is slated to face Seton Hall at Coleman Coliseum, take on St. John’s in Birmingham, and battle Houston at Madison Square Garden.

Building on a Winning Legacy

As the program prepares for its eighth season under head coach Nate Oats, the momentum is undeniable. Alabama has successfully punched its ticket to the Sweet 16 in each of the last four seasons, a streak that extends to five out of the last six years. Under Oats' leadership, the Crimson Tide have recorded at least 25 wins in each of the past four campaigns, highlighted by the program’s historic run to its first-ever Final Four during the 2023-24 season.
