Auburn lands commitment from top 100 offensive line recruit

Auburn is keeping its foot on the gas regarding the 2027 recruiting cycle, securing a major addition to the program this Monday.

A Blue-Chip Addition

Four-star offensive tackle Layton Von Brandt has officially pledged his future to the Tigers. Hailing from Middletown, Delaware, Von Brandt went public with his decision during a live stream on the Rivals YouTube channel. In choosing Auburn, he turned down interest from top-tier programs like Notre Dame, Penn State, and Florida.

Von Brandt currently sits as the No. 64 overall prospect in the 247Sports composite rankings, making him the eighth commitment for Auburn’s 2027 class. He now stands as the second-highest ranked recruit in the group, trailing only Myson Johnson-Cook, who ranks No. 46 nationally.

Building Momentum

This commitment continues a busy stretch for the Auburn staff, serving as the second addition in as many days. The news follows the Sunday commitment of three-star linebacker Kareem Palmer.

With Von Brandt on board, the Tigers now have two offensive linemen slated for the 2027 cycle, as he joins fellow recruit Jaylon Moore, who committed to Auburn on April 29.
