The momentum continues to build for Auburn football as the Tigers have officially secured a commitment from elite in-state prospect Isaac McNeil. The 4-star linebacker from Vigor High School selected Auburn over a powerhouse list of suitors, including Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and LSU.

Strengthening the 2027 Class

McNeil’s pledge marks a significant milestone for the program, serving as the 14th commitment for the Tigers’ 2027 recruiting class. The pace is rapid, with McNeil becoming the fifth recruit to join the fold in just the last three days.

A Versatile Force on the Field

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 210 pounds, McNeil is highly regarded by 247Sports, which ranks him as the No. 87 player nationally, the No. 6 linebacker in the country, and the No. 2 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.

His production during a 15-game junior season at Vigor showcased his versatility and athleticism. McNeil tallied 92 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, and nine sacks on defense, while also contributing on the other side of the ball with four touchdowns and a successful 28-yard field goal.
