Scottsboro tight end commits to South Alabama

South Alabama’s recruiting momentum for the 2027 class continues to build, as Scottsboro standout Theron Miles announced his commitment to the Jaguars on Tuesday.

A Physical Presence in Mobile

Miles, a 6-foot-5, 215-pound tight end, brings an impressive frame to the South Alabama program. According to 247 Sports, Miles chose the Jaguars over additional offers from North Alabama and Texas A&M-Texarkana. During his 2026 junior campaign for the Wildcats, he hauled in 15 catches for 138 yards and found the end zone twice across eight appearances.

Building the 2027 Class

The addition of Miles marks the fourth commitment for South Alabama's 2027 recruiting class. He joins a growing group of talent including Fairhope linebacker Gus Faulkner, Daphne signal-caller Christian Segar, and wide receiver Trevor Jacobs out of Tallahassee, Florida. As reported by 205focus.com, these prospects are looking ahead to national signing day, which is set for Dec. 2.
