Check your home: Nationwide recall issued for 5 products sold at Target, Amazon, TJ Maxx
Major retailers are recalling several popular items due to risks of choking, burns and death. Here's what's included in the recall, and what to look for.

If you have shopped at major retailers recently, you might want to double-check your cabinets and closets. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recently issued a wave of urgent recall notices involving five different products. From burn and drowning risks to lead contamination and choking hazards, these items sold at Target, Amazon, and other outlets pose serious safety concerns.
Cat & Jack Children’s Sandals
Target is pulling roughly 211,000 pairs of Cat & Jack children’s sandals from shelves. The tan, raffia-strapped sandals feature plastic pearls that have been reported to fall off, creating a significant choking risk. Sold for approximately $20 between January 2020 and May 2026, these sandals should be kept away from children immediately. Contact Target for a full refund.
Madewell Women’s Sweaters
Safety concerns regarding flammability have prompted a recall for certain Madewell-branded women’s sweaters. Nearly 6,000 units of the Double V-Neck Pullover and V-Neck Cardigan were sold online between December 2024 and October 2025. Owners should cut the garments in half, snap a photo, and email it to 24-7@madewell.com to verify destruction before disposing of the items.
Warren James Copper Cups
A lead contamination warning has been issued for copper cups included in Flashgitz Relic Lunch Boxes. Roughly 7,000 cups sold between September and October 2025 were found to contain high levels of lead. While the lunch boxes themselves are safe, the cups must be taken out of rotation; contact Warren James for a free replacement.
Jobon Torch Lighters
Over 13,000 Jobon Torch Lighters are being recalled for failing to meet child-resistance requirements. Sold on Amazon and Alibaba from 2021 to 2025, these lighters should be marked with "RECALLED" in permanent ink, submerged in water, and photographed. Hollis Diving Regulators
Divers are urged to stop using Hollis 200LX Second Stage Diving Regulators immediately. A defect in the inlet tube can cause it to crack underwater, potentially cutting off a diver’s air supply. Huish Outdoors has issued a recall for roughly 7,200 units sold between May 2017 and February 2026. Contact an authorized Hollis dealer or the company directly to arrange a free repair.
